Police rescue 11 kidnapped victims and arrest 19 suspects

The Nigeria Police Force rescued 11 kidnapped people, arrested 19 suspects and recovered 91 stolen livestock, including 48 cows and 43 sheep, during operations across several states over 48 hours. In Zamfara, five elderly women abducted while harvesting beans were freed after a gun battle, though a 35-year-old farmer was killed; six kidnapped farmers were also rescued in Niger State. Security forces repelled a suspected Lakurawa terrorist attack in Kebbi, while search operations continue in Zamfara for nine abducted people. In Kano, five suspects accused of harbouring criminals were arrested, and police recovered the stolen livestock and two motorcycles.
