Oyo State police rescued a one-month-old baby girl allegedly sold for N2 million in Ido Local Government Area of Ibadan. Two suspects were arrested: the child’s mother, Cecilia, and 40-year-old Dr Adeleke Ebenezer, owner of the health facility where the baby was delivered. Police said Hassan Oludunni allegedly facilitated the sale to Odunayo Folawewo; Cecilia reportedly received N1 million, while Adeleke and Oludunni received N500,000 each. The investigation began after the baby’s grandmother, Mary Amos, reported her disappearance, and police are still seeking the other suspects.
