Police warn Lagos residents against jungle justice after mob kills man

The Lagos State Police Command has warned residents against resorting to jungle justice following the mob killing of a man named Basit in Lagos Island. Basit, who was set to marry in two weeks, was beaten to death after his vehicle struck a pedestrian. Police spokesperson SP Abimbola Adebisi described jungle justice as a crime and emphasized that the responsibility for investigating offenses lies with law enforcement and the courts.
