‘Political power is not their birthright’: Sowore urges Nigerians to change leadership

Omoyele Sowore, presidential candidate of the African Action Congress (AAC), urged Nigerians to challenge leaders who regard political power as their birthright. In a post on X, he pointed to developments in Hungary, Serbia and Brazil as examples of citizens resisting authoritarianism and demanding accountability. Sowore said it was not too late to change Nigeria’s political direction and called on Nigerians to “flip the script” against what he called the country’s “ODBs.”
