Political Truce in Benin: The LD Party Sets Its Course

The opposition party Les Démocrates reacted to the political truce established following the announcement of the final results of the April 12, 2026 presidential election. In a statement, the party announced plans to hold a training workshop to inform its members about the implications of Article 5.1 of the Constitution. Les Démocrates also urged their militants to exercise discipline during this period, which aims to reduce post-electoral tensions.
