‘Political will’ credited for KZN Public Works and Infrastructure clean audit

KZN Public Works MEC Martin Meyer credited political will and a strategic return to basics for the department's first-ever clean audit. The department eliminated a R700 million unauthorized expenditure and an R800 million overspend, achieving this milestone. Meyer emphasized that this success is the result of months of hard work by department officials.
