Popokabaka: After more than 20 days of work stoppage, teachers officially declare a dry strike for non-payment

Teachers in Popokabaka, in the Kwango province, have declared a dry strike after more than 20 days of work stoppage due to non-payment of their salaries. Despite partial payment of two months of arrears by Caritas, the teachers demand the payment of June's salary and regular salary payments. They have decided not to open schools until further notice and are also requesting the relocation of salary payments to another bank.
