Pork Sector: MIRAH and European Union on Mission in Yopougon

On June 4, 2026, a delegation from the Ministry of Animal and Fishery Resources (MIRAH) and European Union experts visited the Yopougon pig slaughterhouse managed by SIVAC. This mission is part of a 30-month twinning project involving Côte d'Ivoire with France, Austria, and Spain to strengthen food safety of animal products. SIVAC's Director General Ouattara Issif and veterinary services director Dr Kallo Vessaly highlighted the partnership's importance in improving skills and sanitary quality of products.
