Porsche, Camaro and Millions in Transfers: At 26, Fraudster Babacar Ciss Lived a Life of Luxury

Babacar Ciss, a 26-year-old unemployed man living in Sicap-Foire, was taken into custody in Dakar-Plateau on November 5, 2026, over electronic fraud, swindling and document forgery. He allegedly placed large orders on an online sales platform using stolen bank card details while posing as a businessman capable of making transfers worth 75 million CFA francs. The investigation began after a merchant was notified by Ecobank that a cardholder disputed the transactions; a man who arrived to collect an order using the false name “Moustapha Fall” was arrested in a police sting. A search of Ciss’s Sicap-Foire hideout uncovered a lavish lifestyle, including a Porsche Macan and a Chevrolet Camaro, while bank inquiries confirmed the fraud.
