Portugal: ‘Too early to say,’ José Mourinho says on Cristiano Ronaldo becoming a manager

José Mourinho said Friday at Valdebebas that it was too early to know whether Cristiano Ronaldo would become a coach after retiring as a player. He said he respected Ronaldo’s decision to end his international career, noting that the 41-year-old still has goals with Al-Nassr, and wished his farewell as a player had been different. Ronaldo announced his international retirement after 234 appearances and a record 146 goals for Portugal; he had previously said coaching was not in his plans.
