Prado SUVs gifted to APC youth leaders spark reactions

Dayo Israel, the APC’s national youth leader, said on X that he had presented seven 2026 Toyota Prado SUVs to selected party youth leaders to support election mobilisation ahead of the 2027 general elections. He thanked First Lady Oluremi Tinubu for supporting the party’s youth structure. The display drew criticism online, with users questioning the timing and funding and comparing the expense with the needs of hospitals and soldiers. Professor Pat Utomi and the Nigeria Democratic Congress also condemned the gesture; the party estimated the seven vehicles were worth about N1.015 billion.
