President Ruto Pledges Govt Support Towards Boxing After Majembe Wins Vurugu Bout

President William Ruto pledged government support for boxing in Kenya after Portifas Odipo, known as Majembe, defeated Ferdinand Omondi, alias Mbavu Destroyer, in the Vurugu Championship. Ruto praised the fighters' performance and stated that the match reignited passion for boxing in the country. He also announced investments to develop the sport and had previously promised Ksh 1 million to the winner.
