Presidential Plane: A $660,000 Case Unfolds in Qatar

In 2018, the Republic of Cameroon allegedly paid $660,000 for the repair of a helicopter intended for the president. In January 2025, the country requested the restitution of this amount in the liquidation of the Qatari company Horizon Crescent Wealth LLC. The Qatari court required clearer authorization from the lawyer representing Yaoundé before accepting the request. The payment was reportedly transferred to HCW, rather than the contracting subsidiary, before being frozen.
