Preventing conflicts between herders and farmers: Bouaké prefecture raises public awareness

On October 17, 2026, the Bouaké prefecture held an awareness meeting to prevent conflicts between herders and farmers and strengthen social cohesion. Discussions focused on dialogue and lasting solutions, including concerns raised by herders and traditional representatives of Fari canton. The prefect’s representative urged herders to form associations and use legal channels rather than take justice into their own hands when resolving disputes.
