Pro-Russian hackers leak Italian foreign minister’s data on dark web

Italian Foreign Minister and Deputy Prime Minister Antonio Tajani said cybercriminals had been publishing his personal data on the dark web for several days and seeking information about his family. Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni blamed pro-Russian hackers for the leak and expressed solidarity with Tajani, calling attempts to sell confidential information about government officials a matter of grave concern. Tajani said his support for Ukraine may have made him a target and suggested the threats could also be linked to the government’s efforts to strengthen the Foreign Ministry’s digital defences.
