Putin’s party wins supermajority in Russia’s parliamentary vote

President Vladimir Putin’s United Russia party secured a record supermajority in parliamentary elections, winning over 58% of the votes. This election, the first since the invasion of Ukraine, saw a voter turnout of nearly 60%. The Yabloko party, the only registered anti-war party, failed to win any national seats but managed to enter the regional parliament in Novgorod.
