A coalition of major opposition groups in the Democratic Republic of Congo has rejected President Félix Tshisekedi's proposal for a national dialogue. Opponents accuse him of wanting to use the dialogue to strengthen his position. Tshisekedi also excluded the participation of the M23 armed group in the talks, stating that a peace agreement signed in December in Washington was the appropriate framework to deal with this organization, although the agreement has not ended the fighting.
