Northern Bypass Dualling Among Projects Kenya Seeks to Advance in China Talks

Kenya is seeking to advance the dualling of the Nairobi Northern Bypass and two other infrastructure projects following talks with Chinese officials. The Northern Bypass, currently a single carriageway, will be converted into a dual carriageway with interchanges, overpasses, and cycle paths. Meanwhile, the Muthaiga-Kiambu-Ndumberi Road project is also progressing, with an EPC contract signed in March 2026. Discussions also covered the Bosto Dam Water Supply Project and China's support for Kenya's health sector.
