Raghu Rai, legendary Indian photographer, dies at 83

Indian photographer Raghu Rai, regarded as one of the foremost chroniclers of independent India, has died at the age of 83. Born in a village in Pakistan's Punjab province, he documented significant events such as the 1971 Bangladesh independence war and the 1984 Bhopal gas tragedy. In 1972, he was awarded the Padma Shri, one of India's highest civilian honors, for his exceptional work.
