Raila Junior Says ODM Will Back Jalang’o for Nairobi Senate Seat

Raila Odinga Junior endorsed Lang’ata MP Phelix Odiwuor, known as Jalang’o, for Nairobi senator in 2027, saying ODM would support his bid. The endorsement came days after his sister Winnie Odinga announced that she would contest the same seat. Junior also said ODM candidates should compete in party primaries rather than receive direct nominations, adding that he was ready to seek the Kibra parliamentary seat through that process. Incumbent Nairobi Senator Edwin Sifuna has separately declared an interest in the presidency.
