Ramaphosa 'has a case to answer for bypassing the law' in Phala Phala farm theft

The Independent Police Investigative Directorate (IPID) has recommended disciplinary action against two SAPS members regarding the alleged cover-up of the 2020 theft at Cyril Ramaphosa's Phala Phala farm. Ramaphosa and former head of the Presidential Protection Unit, Major General Wally Rhoode, are accused of violating the law by failing to report the theft to the local police. The IPID report revealed misuse of state resources and a private investigation conducted without following the proper SAPS chain of command.
