RDC: Flory Mapamboli submits a bill to combat plastic pollution

Deputy Flory Mapamboli Posa submitted a bill in the DRC to prevent and manage plastic pollution. The law plans to progressively ban certain single-use plastic products, such as bags and sachets, within 12 to 18 months. It also introduces a mandatory deposit for plastic bottles and holds producers and importers financially responsible, while involving recyclers in waste collection and sorting.
