RDC: Mobile Laboratories to Accelerate Ebola Testing

In Butembo, eastern Democratic Republic of Congo, mobile laboratories have been deployed to strengthen Ebola response efforts. These laboratories, housed in vehicles, significantly reduce testing turnaround times from up to 72 hours to around 24 hours, and sometimes as little as six hours. Operated by the National Biomedical Research Institute (INRB), they analyze blood samples and can quickly move to affected areas like Katwa to monitor the outbreak.
