Real Madrid: After Scoring Against Sevilla, Yan Diomandé Puts Pressure on Vinicius

Starting in place of Vinicius Jr, 19-year-old Ivorian winger Yan Diomandé scored in Real Madrid’s 4-1 win over Sevilla at the Santiago Bernabéu on October 18. He helped set up Arda Güler’s opening goal and sealed the result in the 82nd minute, scoring for the second time in eight days. Vinicius is serving a four-match suspension in Spanish competitions following his sending-off against Villarreal and will miss the Clásico against Barcelona. Signed from Leipzig this summer and contracted through 2033, Diomandé has three Liga matches to make his case in José Mourinho’s attack.
