Rep seeks tighter mining safety measures after Plateau pit collapse

Member of the House of Representatives, Hon. Engr. Fom Dalyop Chollom, has called for stricter enforcement of safety standards in mining communities following the death of seven miners in a pit collapse in Kassa community, Barkin Ladi Local Government Area of Plateau State. He expressed sadness over the tragedy and urged relevant authorities to strengthen monitoring and enforcement mechanisms to prevent a recurrence.
