The House of Representatives approved a further extension of the implementation period for capital projects under the 2025 Appropriation Act, moving the deadline from September 30, 2026, to December 31, 2026. This followed President Bola Tinubu's request for additional time to complete ongoing infrastructure projects. It is the fourth extension, with previous deadlines moved from December 2025 to March, June, and September 2026. Federal agencies now have until December 31, 2026, to utilize the allocated funds from the 2025 budget.
