Reps mourn death of Rep. Yaya Bauchi Tongo

The Nigerian House of Representatives expressed deep sorrow over the death of Rep. Yaya Bauchi Tongo, who represented Gombe/Kwami/Funakaye Federal Constituency of Gombe State. He died in Abuja after a brief illness. Tongo had a long record of public service, having served as Chairman of Funakaye Local Government Area, Special Adviser to the Gombe State Government, and a member of the Gombe State House of Assembly before his election to the House of Representatives. Until his death, he chaired the Nigeria–United Arab Emirates Parliamentary Friendship Group.
