Republicans break ranks, but Senate fails to curb Trump’s Iran war powers

Three Republican senators joined Democrats in the U.S. Senate to vote for a bill aimed at limiting President Donald Trump's war powers regarding Iran. Although the vote failed with a tally of 50-49, it revealed cracks in support for the war within the Republican Party. Senator Lisa Murkowski voted in favor of the resolution for the first time, while Susan Collins and Rand Paul also supported the bill.
