Over 170 projects worth approximately $180 billion will be presented at the first West Africa Integration and Investment Summit (WAIIS) in Freetown on November 17-18. Convened by Sierra Leonean President Julius Maada Bio, the summit aims to realize the economic integration ambitions of ECOWAS. The projects span sectors such as energy, minerals, agro-industry, and digital technology, with a particular focus on a $1 billion investment facility for rice in West Africa.
