Rivers ADC inaugurates 600-member campaign council

The African Democratic Congress (ADC) chapter in Rivers State inaugurated its 600-member campaign council for the 2027 governorship election in Port Harcourt. Senator Andrew Uchendu chairs the council, with Chimbiko Akarolo as director-general; state party chairman Chukwudi Dimkpa urged members to work responsibly, in unity and with discipline. Uchendu accused political elites of turning the state into a battleground and alleged that the administration of Sir Siminalayi Fubara had abandoned governance. He said the ADC aimed to stabilise leadership and ensure the executive, legislature and judiciary could perform their duties independently.
