Rivers Assembly probes government funding of PAMO University

The Rivers State House of Assembly has formed an Ad-Hoc Committee to investigate funds released by the state government to PAMO University of Medical Sciences since its establishment in 2017. Chaired by Dumle Maol, the committee will assess the use of the funds and identify beneficiaries of the university's scholarship scheme. This inquiry follows the Assembly's decision not to approve the six billion naira allocated to the university in the 2026 budget.
