Rivers waste management agency begins compulsory profiling of scrap dealers, scavengers

The Rivers State Waste Management Agency (RIWAMA) has initiated compulsory profiling of scrap dealers, recyclers, and PET bottle scavengers to identify legitimate operators and combat illegal activities. Managing Director Dr. Ibimina Wokoma stated that this initiative aims to establish a comprehensive database of operators and address issues of theft and vandalism. Those involved are required to submit a profiling form within one month, with penalties for non-compliance.
