RMAFC reopens oil, gas wells verification over 13% derivation disputes

The Revenue Mobilisation Allocation and Fiscal Commission, RMAFC, has reopened the verification of disputed and newly drilled oil and gas wells across Nigeria to resolve controversies over the sharing of the 13 percent derivation fund among oil and gas-producing states. A reconstituted Inter-Agency Technical Committee has been established to verify wells from 2017 to date, following the rejection of a previous draft report. RMAFC Chairman, Dr Mohammed Bello Shehu, emphasized the importance of this verification for ensuring equitable distribution of funds among the affected states.
