RN17: multiple barriers and harassment reported after traffic resumed

Traffic on RN17 has resumed after over a year of disruption due to insecurity in Kwamouth, following the surrender of Mobondo militias. The route is now actively used by buses, trucks, and private vehicles, with increased security measures. However, travelers report harassment at military checkpoints, where they are required to pay between 1,000 and 2,000 FC, with threats of violence if they refuse, especially at Mongata, Masiambio, the RN1 junction, and Maï-Ndombe bridge.
