Romanian football great Mircea Lucescu dies aged 80

Mircea Lucescu, an iconic figure in Romanian football, died at the age of 80 at the Bucharest University Emergency Hospital after suffering a heart attack. He was the first coach to qualify the Romanian national team for a European Championship in 1984. Lucescu had a coaching career that spanned nearly half a century and recently led the national team until stepping down after falling ill during training.
