The Middle East can solve its problems without the US, Pezeshkian says

In Moscow, Iranian President Massoud Pezeshkian told Vladimir Putin that Middle Eastern countries could solve their problems without relying on the United States. He called for stronger Russian-Iranian cooperation in trade, science, industry, culture and security, including military ties, and closer links among countries subject to US sanctions. Putin described the situation as worrying and expressed hope for a positive change. Russia is stepping up mediation efforts as talks between Tehran and Washington remain stalled and the United States and Israel threaten to resume strikes.
