Routes Batchenga-Ntui-Yoko-Lena: China Railway 20 excluded from AfDB-funded projects for fraudulent practices

China Railway 20th Bureau Group Corporation (CR20) has been excluded for 13 months from projects funded by the African Development Bank (AfDB) following an investigation that found fraudulent practices during the first phase of Cameroon’s Transport Sector Support Program, including the development of the Batchenga-Ntui-Yoko-Lena roads. During this period, CR20 and its subsidiaries cannot participate in tenders or secure contracts financed by the AfDB, with their return contingent on completing a compliance program. The bank did not specify the exact nature of the fraud or any financial damages.
