Following a dramatic increase in rubber production from 350,000 tons in 2015 to 1,932,000 tons in 2025, Ivory Coast aims to boost the sector's productivity, competitiveness, and sustainability. A strategic diagnostic validation workshop was held in Yamoussoukro to outline the national research program (PNR-Hévéa 2027-2031). The diagnosis identified productivity gaps between smallholders and industrial producers, as well as low technology adoption, prompting the development of a research program involving multiple organizations to strengthen the sector.
