Russell Brand accuser said alleged rape 'really hurt', court hears

At Russell Brand’s trial at Southwark Crown Court, a complainant’s friend testified by video link that after a 2009 event at the Hammersmith Apollo, the woman told her she had been driven to Brand’s home in Hampstead and raped. The friend said the complainant had been crying, had repeatedly said “no” and was in so much pain she could not sit down. A second friend testified that the woman said she had asked Brand to stop and that he later called her “dirty” and told her to clean up. Brand, 51, denies all seven charges—three counts of rape, three sexual assaults and one indecent assault—concerning allegations by six women between 1999 and 2009.
