Russia: Putin May Turn the Page on Bortnikov at the Head of the FSB

Alexandre Bortnikov may leave his position as head of the FSB as part of a reorganization expected to begin in October. Bortnikov has been in charge since 2008 and has a career in Soviet security services dating back to 1975. His first deputy, Sergei Korolev, is expected to take on some of his duties and is mentioned as a potential successor, alongside Ivan Tkatchov and Vladislav Menchtchikov.
