Russia says Ukraine, US talks are planned for Abu Dhabi

Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said trilateral talks between Russia, Ukraine and the United States are planned for the first half of November in Abu Dhabi. Volodymyr Zelensky confirmed the planned meeting and called for it to take place with America, Europe and Ukraine’s other partners. The announcement followed US envoy Steve Witkoff’s meetings with Zelensky and European leaders in Oslo, and then with Vladimir Putin in Saint Petersburg. Putin said the discussions would focus on security arrangements for a final peace deal rather than a short-term truce.
