Russia-Ukraine: Zelensky announces a US proposal for talks

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky announced that the United States proposed a trilateral technical meeting with Ukraine and Russia before the end of October, during a press conference in Kyiv. The meeting could take place in the United Arab Emirates or another country chosen by Washington, but no specific date has been set. Moscow announced it would intensify strikes on Ukrainian military and industrial infrastructure in response to Ukrainian attacks on Russian oil refineries, with both sides denying targeting civilians.
