Russian attacks kill eight people across Ukraine as US steps up diplomacy

Russian attacks across Ukraine have killed at least eight people, including six in a farm in Kharkiv and two in Kyiv, one of whom was in a damaged maternity hospital parking lot. The assault involved hypersonic and ballistic missiles, 282 drones, and other weapons, targeting Ukrainian military sites, logistics, and communication hubs. Russia also struck a Black Sea tanker supplying fuel to Chornomorsk, while drone debris caused a fire in Krasnodar, Russia. Poland deployed aircraft to protect its airspace, and a sabotage incident at a Starlink ground station was linked to hybrid warfare, which Russia denies.
