Russian Shadow Fleet: Cameroon Strips Ships Linked to EU Sanctions from Its Maritime Registry

Cameroon removed several vessels from its maritime registry after discovering foreign ships fraudulently using the Cameroonian flag. Transport Minister Jean Ernest Massena Ngalle Bibehe announced the removals amid pressure over the Russian shadow fleet transporting oil despite sanctions. An initial list named vessels Jasper, Deliver, Ira, Marquise, Tyche 1, Lia, and Vikram as linked to Russian oil transport, but was later replaced with an expurgated version.
