Ruto Announces New KDF Appointments, Promotions, and Key Leadership Changes

Kenyan President William Ruto announced a series of promotions, appointments, and postings within the Kenya Defence Forces (KDF), following recommendations from the Defence Council. Major General John Maiso Nkoimo was appointed Deputy Commander of the Kenya Army, taking over from Major General Mohamed Nur Hassan who retired. Brigadier Mohamud Salah Farah was appointed Deputy Air Force Commander, and Brigadier William Kamoiro was promoted to Major General and appointed General Officer Commanding Central Command. Several other officers were promoted or assigned to key roles, including medical services, logistics, and military justice.
