The body of Rwandan Sergeant Major Robert Kabera, who had taken refuge in Uganda after fleeing the Rwandan army in 2020, was found Saturday in a bush in Kamengo, Mpigi district. Ugandan police said his head had not been found. Kabera became a vocal critic of President Paul Kagame and was identified by local residents and his brother. Investigators have not established a motive, but are examining his military background.
