Hormuz: Iran claims to have captured two US drones and shot down an MQ-9

Iran’s Revolutionary Guards claim they shot down an MQ-9 east of the Strait of Hormuz and captured two MQM-170 drones south of Qeshm Island on November 2, 2026. Washington has not confirmed the reported losses. Tehran says it now holds four MQM-170s and describes the MQ-9 as the 55th of its type destroyed by its forces. CENTCOM previously disputed Iran’s claim that it captured an MQM-170 on October 29; that capture has not been independently verified.
