Salasya Proposes KSh500 Monthly SHA Contribution for All Kenyans

Mumias East Member of Parliament Peter Salasya has proposed a reform of the Social Health Authority (SHA) framework by introducing a uniform monthly contribution of KSh500 for all Kenyans. This proposal aims to replace the current income-based annual contributions, which have suffered from low compliance rates. Salasya also calls for the reinstatement of the Linda Mama program to improve access to maternal healthcare and proposes consolidating the three existing funds into a single unified pool.
