Sale of Tramadol now banned without medical prescription in Maniema

Dr Alexis Tchomba, provincial health minister of Maniema, has banned the sale of Tramadol without a medical prescription across the entire province. The measure aims to combat the abusive use of this drug, especially among young people. The minister warned that any sale without a prescription will be severely penalized and called for intensified awareness campaigns about the health risks, including effects on the nervous system.
