Saudi Arabia intercepts missiles and drones as fighting with Houthis rages

The Saudi-led coalition says it intercepted a ballistic missile aimed at Riyadh, a drone in the capital region and a cruise missile targeting Khamis Mushait on Sunday. It later reported destroying 10 ballistic missiles fired towards southern Saudi Arabia. The attacks come as two terminals at King Khalid International Airport resume operations, following a Houthi attack on October 10 that killed 13 people and wounded more than 300. Houthi spokesperson Yahya Saree called the airport a “military target” and warned airlines and travellers that it was unsafe.
